Belgian solutions is an ongoing, open collection of photos, which is since 2009 mainly presented on Facebook, but has also been printed in STEMPEL magazine and shown in various locations as a slideshow-presentation (Petit Wiel's #2, Kunstenfestivaldesarts festivalcenter).
The collection is a random and endless publication, defined again and again by it's current constellation; its ubiquitous title, leading to ever new significations.
The pictures are numbered, partly in a random manner, partly in a cryptical relation to the image. Like this the framework of a series is suggested as well as undermined. The Belgian solutions, invite commentary on the single pictures or on the collection as a whole, or by responding with own images and links.
Where these solutions might lead to is as unclear as the future of social online-networks, or for that matter of nation-states and how we deal within one or another.

Belgian Solutions ist eine offene Foto Sammlung auf Facebook, die auch in Druckform (STEMPEL magazine ) und als Dia-Live-Act (zum Beispiel im Kunstenfestivaldesart Festival Zentrum 2011) zu sehen ist.
Offen ist die Sammlung im Sinne ihrer zufälligen und unendlichen Veröffentlichung, sowie ihrer interaktiven Kommunikationsoberfläche. Die jeweils aktuelle Zusammensetzung der Belgian Solutions entscheidet über deren Definition; der inflationäre Gebrauch des Titels führt zu ständig neuen Bedeutungen.
Die Bilder werden zum Teil wild, zum Teil kryptisch nummeriert. Zwar wird somit das Bezugsystem einer Folge suggeriert, aber auch beschoßen. Interaktion mit dem Phänomen Belgian Solutions passiert in Kommentaren unter den Fotos und der Sammlung als Ganzes oder durch Zufügen eigener Bilder, Links oder Anekdoten.
